History
2007-08: York had another very strong season, where he took the Kodiaks to the RBC Cup final. York won the Top Goaltender award at the RBC Cup. He did not start all Camrose’s games this season, rotating starts with Mathieu Larochelle. The pair combined to win the AJHL Top Team Goaltenders award, the second straight season York combined to win this award. York started the majority of the games in the playoffs, and all the RBC Cup games.
Talent Analysis
A big goaltender who covers a lot of net and plays well positionally. He has not faced top quality opposition, but has played extremely well against Tier-2 shooters. York must improve his lateral mobility. He stays composed in big games and has held up very well under pressure. Shows good fight, but must improve his quickness.
Future
York is a freshman at RPI. He will likely play at least two years in college.
