History
2007-08: Holden signed with Columbus as an undrafted free agent out of Chilliwack of the WHL. He played important minutes with the Bruins, being used in all situations. He was their captain, as well as their best defenseman. He led all WHL defensemen in goals. Holden has shown large improvements over the course of his two years with the Bruins.
Talent Analysis
Holden is a big strong defenseman who can play both sides of the ice. A classic late-bloomer, Holden has continued to steadily improve after going undrafted in three successive NHL entry drafts. Holden possesses NHL size and is good at playing the body. He also has proven capable of providing leadership from the back-end. He has a very good attitude and work ethic, and has intriguing offensive potential.
